- 1Preparation and positioning. Use stable parallel bars, a straight bar, or rings with a safe mounting and dismounting method. Establish the deepest pain-free range and the lockout standard before loading the set. Use parallel bars with enough clearance for the extended legs and establish the L position before descent.
- 2Starting position. Start in a stable support with the elbows extended but not forced into painful hyperextension, ribs controlled over the pelvis, and the apparatus quiet. Hold the legs at the declared angle with the pelvis controlled and the shoulders in stable support.
- 3Eccentric phase. Bend the elbows and lower the body under control while preserving the defined shoulder path. Lower without allowing the legs to drop, the pelvis to swing, or the shoulders to roll forward.
- 4Bottom position. Reach the same depth marker on every rep without bouncing or losing the support. Reach the planned depth while preserving the compression position or the declared knee modification.
- 5Concentric phase / lockout. Press the supports away, extend the elbows, and return to a stable top position. Press to support while keeping the legs and trunk coordinated.
- 6Breathing and bracing. Inhale and brace during the descent as appropriate; exhale through the press while keeping the trunk and shoulder girdle organized.
- 7Valid rep. A valid repetition begins and ends in the defined support, reaches the planned depth, and returns without a bounce, kip, or unplanned assistance. The L position is maintained throughout; a normal dip with a late leg raise is not counted.
Häufige Fehler
Dropping into the bottom
Korrektur: Lower under control and stop at the planned pain-free depth.
Shoulders rolling forward
Korrektur: Maintain a supported shoulder girdle and reduce depth or assistance if control is lost.
Twisting or asymmetry
Korrektur: Use a stable setup and make both arms share the intended path.
Dropping the legs to finish
Korrektur: Bend the knees or use a standard dip until the compression demand is sustainable.
Sicherheit
Progressionen & Alternativen
- RegressionDip am Parallelbarren— Remove the hip-compression lever while keeping the dip pattern.
- ProgressionWeighted Dip— Add load only if the L position and pressing standard remain stable.
- AlternativeRing-Dip— Use a ring variation when instability is the selected training constraint.
