  1. 1Preparation and positioning. Use stable parallel bars, a straight bar, or rings with a safe mounting and dismounting method. Establish the deepest pain-free range and the lockout standard before loading the set. Use a band or foot-assisted setup that reduces relative load while allowing the rings to move naturally; verify that the assistance cannot slip.
  2. 2Starting position. Start in a stable support with the elbows extended but not forced into painful hyperextension, ribs controlled over the pelvis, and the apparatus quiet. Begin in a supported ring position with the assistance already engaged and the rings close enough to control.
  3. 3Eccentric phase. Bend the elbows and lower the body under control while preserving the defined shoulder path. Lower through a shortened or full declared range while the assistance limits load without eliminating the ring-stability requirement.
  4. 4Bottom position. Reach the same depth marker on every rep without bouncing or losing the support. Reach the planned depth without letting the rings separate or the shoulders drop passively.
  5. 5Concentric phase / lockout. Press the supports away, extend the elbows, and return to a stable top position. Press the rings down and in as needed to return to support, using only the planned assistance.
  6. 6Breathing and bracing. Inhale and brace during the descent as appropriate; exhale through the press while keeping the trunk and shoulder girdle organized.
  7. 7Valid rep. A valid repetition begins and ends in the defined support, reaches the planned depth, and returns without a bounce, kip, or unplanned assistance. The assistance, ring orientation, depth, and exit are consistent across the set.

Häufige Fehler

  • Dropping into the bottom

Korrektur: Lower under control and stop at the planned pain-free depth.

  • Shoulders rolling forward

Korrektur: Maintain a supported shoulder girdle and reduce depth or assistance if control is lost.

  • Twisting or asymmetry

Korrektur: Use a stable setup and make both arms share the intended path.

  • Using too little assistance

Korrektur: Increase assistance until the rings and shoulders remain controlled through the full intended range.

Sicherheit

Progressionen & Alternativen

  • RegressionUnterstützter Barren-DipRemove ring instability if the apparatus control is the limiting factor.
  • ProgressionRing-DipReduce assistance only after the ring support and depth remain stable.
  • AlternativeDip am ParallelbarrenUse fixed bars when ring control is not the target.
