Data Deletion
Last updated: 3 September 2026
What this page is for
Meta requires every app to publish a way of asking for the deletion of data the app obtained through Facebook or Instagram. This is that page for BOEZOR Social Publisher — the app that connects boezor.com to BOEZOR's own Instagram account and Facebook Page.
For people who do not operate BOEZOR, this app currently holds no Meta-derived data about them
You cannot sign in to boezor.com with Facebook or Instagram. The site offers email and Google, and nothing else. Reading an article, using a tool or creating a BOEZOR account therefore sends nothing to Meta on our behalf and brings nothing back.
BOEZOR Social Publisher is authorised for exactly one set of accounts: BOEZOR's own. It stores no follower lists, no comments, no messages, no insights and no posts — nothing about the people who read, follow or reply.
So if Facebook or Instagram sent you here: unless you are an authorised BOEZOR operator, BOEZOR Social Publisher currently holds no Meta-derived data relating to you. You can still ask, and you will get an answer either way.
What is stored while a connection exists
One record, for one connected platform:
- which platform the connection is for, and its current status
- the Meta user id of the person who authorised it
- the id and the name of the connected Facebook Page
- the id and the username of the connected Instagram account
- an access token for that Page — encrypted, and never shown in the interface, returned in a response, or written to a log
- when that token expires, if Meta states an expiry
- which permissions Meta granted
- when the record was created, last changed and last checked
- the error code and a redacted error message from the last failed check, if there was one
That is the entire record.
How the connection is deleted
By the operator, at any time. BOEZOR's own administration area carries a Disconnect action. It deletes the record outright — the row is removed, not marked as revoked and not emptied of its token. An automated test holds the code to that, so the promise on this page cannot quietly stop being true.
What deleting does not do. It does not withdraw the app's permission at Meta's end. Withdrawing it there needs a credential this app deliberately never stores, so it stays a manual step:
Facebook → Settings & privacy → Settings → Business integrations or Apps and websites → BOEZOR Social Publisher → Remove, then confirm. If Meta lists the connection in Meta Business Suite, use Settings → Integrations → Connected apps.
Doing both deletes the BOEZOR connection record and removes the app's authorisation on Meta's side; it does not delete data that Meta itself may retain.
How to ask us to delete something
Write to mail@boezor.com with the subject Data deletion, and name the Facebook or Instagram account you are asking about.
We will then:
- check whether the app holds anything at all about that account,
- delete whatever it holds,
- write back and say what was found and what was deleted — including "nothing was found", which is the expected answer.
We respond without undue delay and, in any event, within one month of receiving your request. Where Article 12(3) GDPR permits an extension because of the complexity or number of requests, we may extend this period by up to two further months and will inform you within the first month, including the reasons.
If we have reasonable doubts about your identity or cannot reliably determine which account is concerned, we may ask for the additional information necessary to verify the request before acting. We will request only what is necessary.
Deleting a BOEZOR account is a different thing
This page is about the Meta connection only. If you hold an account on boezor.com and want that deleted, the option sits in your account settings. The two are unrelated — neither deletion triggers the other.
Who is responsible
