So führst du sie aus

  1. 1Preparation and positioning. Check the bar, supports, overhead clearance, and landing zone. Set the bar low enough for controlled foot assistance and use a stable, non-slip surface.
  2. 2Starting position. Begin with a secure grip, extended elbows, and a quiet body or the explicitly defined low-bar foot contact. Set the ribcage and pelvis before initiating the pull.
  3. 3High pull. Drive the body upward and slightly around the bar, aiming the lower chest toward it. Use only the documented jump or band assistance; avoid uncontrolled kipping.
  4. 4Transition. Keep the bar close, bring the chest over it, and rotate the elbows from below to above the bar without resting the abdomen on the bar or letting one arm turn over first.
  5. 5Press-out and top support. Press to stable straight-arm support with the bar in front of the hips and shoulders controlled.
  6. 6Descent and breathing. Reverse the transition under control or lower to a safe platform. Breathe between reps and stop before grip or transition control deteriorates.
  7. 7Valid rep. A rep uses only the stated assistance, passes symmetrically over the bar, reaches stable support, and returns through a controlled descent without an unsafe drop.

Häufige Fehler

  • Pulling only to chin height

Korrektur: Aim the lower chest toward the bar before attempting the turnover.

  • One arm transitioning first

Korrektur: Reduce difficulty and keep the bar close until both elbows pass together.

  • Uncontrolled kip or jump

Korrektur: Use only the documented assistance and begin each rep from a quiet, repeatable start.

  • Dropping from support

Korrektur: Reverse the transition or step down under control; grip fatigue ends the set.

Sicherheit

  • This is a high-skill movement: use a mastered regression, a rehearsed bailout, and supervision or spotting when a failed rep could cause a fall.
  • For adolescents, older beginners, or anyone new to this movement, progress by technical competence and use qualified supervision rather than age-based loading targets or forced maximal attempts.
