So führst du sie aus
- 1Preparation and positioning. Adjust the seat, pad, foot support, and start range so the machine rotates comfortably with the torso and does not press into the abdomen or ribs.
- 2Starting position. Sit or stand securely in the machine with the pelvis supported, trunk flexed only to the prescribed range, and hands on the designated handles or position.
- 3Concentric phase. Extend the hips and/or spine according to the machine design while keeping the movement smooth and the pelvis against the support.
- 4Top position. Finish at a neutral, tall torso position; do not force lumbar hyperextension or throw the head backward.
- 5Eccentric phase. Return under control to the same flexion marker without letting the stack crash or the pelvis lift.
- 6Breathing and bracing. Exhale through the extension as appropriate and inhale during the controlled return; keep abdominal support rather than relaxing into the bottom.
- 7Valid rep. A rep uses the same pad setup and torso range, reaches neutral extension, and contains no rebound, pad lift, or forced hyperextension.
Häufige Fehler
Changing the setup between reps
Korrektur: Fix stance, grip, support, and range before the set and keep them constant.
Using momentum
Korrektur: Reduce load or leverage and make both directions visibly controlled.
Shortening the difficult range
Korrektur: Use the same start and end markers on every valid rep.
Continuing after technique loss
Korrektur: End the set at the first persistent breakdown rather than rehearsing compensation.
Sicherheit
- If spinal symptoms, radiating pain, numbness, or weakness are present, stop and seek appropriate assessment; do not use bracing cues to train through neurological symptoms.
- Adjust the machine to the user, verify the selector pin/attachment and safety stops, and keep hands, clothing, and other people clear of the moving lever, cable, and stack.
Progressionen & Alternativen
- RegressionBodyweight Back Extension— Reduce strength, balance, or coordination demand while rehearsing the key pattern before returning to Back Extension Machine.
- ProgressionLoaded Back Extension Machine— Increase load, range, instability, or skill demand after Back Extension Machine is repeatable through the planned volume with reserve and no technique drift.
- AlternativeKurzhantel-RDL— Train a similar primary pattern with a different stability, equipment, or joint-loading profile when Back Extension Machine is impractical or poorly tolerated.
